DMMA Team of the Quarter
Congratulations to Susan Cathcart and Vicki Crompton of the Edit/Audit Team on being selected as the DMMA Team of the first Quarter of 2007. Social Service Administrators Nicolette Shuhart and Annette Lang nominated Vicki and Susan for this award because of their noteworthy achievement in resolving numerous pending claims that would otherwise have foundered in the transition to the National Provider Identifier (NPI) system. If not for their team effort, these claims would have been denied, resulting in much duplication of effort by providers having to re-submit all these claims in the new format.
Vicki and Susan also reviewed and updated many sections of the MMIS edit & audit manuals to reflect the changes resulting from the implementation of the NPI, which enabled a smooth transition of the claims processing system. In recognition of their accomplishment, a permanent team plaque will be awarded, and their names will appear on the campus marquee and in the DMMA newsletter. In addition, their achievement will be nominated for the DHSS Team Award.
