Breastfeeding Peer Counselors

Peer Counselors are women who have breastfed at least one infant for a minimum of four months. Peer counselors receive intensive training in breastfeeding support. WIC clients can reach a peer counselor by phone or through WIC clinics.

Peer Counselors

  • Can answer many of your questions about breastfeeding.
  • Assist you with your breastfeeding technique.
  • Provide free breastfeeding supplies to WIC clients.
    • Manual pumps
    • Collection bags
    • Breast pads and more
  • Teach breastfeeding classes
