Key Objectives:

To expand team membership, to increase public awareness about the importance of responsible dog ownership, to stress child safety and the importance of “Socialization and Supervision”

Key 2011 Project:

Provide practical advice and information at public events pertaining to the Prevention of Dog bites. Provide programs that demonstrate the importance of “Respect For All Living Creatures"

Brief Project Description:

1. Search for and distribute information pertaining to safety around dogs. Distribute information at appropriate venues. Evaluate effectiveness of programs and information.
2. Educate dog owners and children in techniques to ensure a bite-free experience.
3. Stress importance of positive - training and socialization for dog owners
4. Educate adults and children about proper supervision of children and dogs – proper dog/child interaction.

Project Outcome:

Follow up and evaluate programs and information, Goals are to educate and inform to decrease bite incidents.
