DRINKING WATER NOTICE
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER
Operator Certification Requirements Not Met
for Nanticoke Business Park
The Division of Public Health, Office of Drinking Water (ODW) regulates our drinking water system. The State of Delaware requires that our water system have a licensed water operator. Even though this is not an emergency, as our customers, you have a right to know what happened and what we are doing to correct this situation.
We are required to hire or contract with a licensed operator. We have not done this and therefore cannot be sure that our water system is operated correctly.
What should I do?
There is nothing you need to do at this time.
What happened? What is being done?
We failed to hire a licensed operator as required in the State of Delaware Regulations Governing Public Drinking Water Systems and the Safe Drinking Water Act. We will be hiring or contracting with a licensed operator as soon as possible and expect to have this situation corrected within one month.
For more information, please contact Robert N. Lisle at (302) 349-9480 or John DeGour, Capacity Development Program Manager, Office of Drinking Water at (302) 741-8593.
