Delaware Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Call Center Installed

The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) is pleased to announce that a new call center was installed and activated in its Newark office on February 12, 2010 in preparation for the launch of the Delaware Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) later this year.

The establishment of the call center is a major benchmark in the ADRC project, funded by the Administration on Aging under a three-year federal grant. The new call center system will enable DSAAPD staff to better assist callers by making “warm transfers” to connect them with outside resources when needed. The system has a number of other features, such as data tracking, that will assist DSAAPD staff in the operation of the ADRC.

The ADRC is scheduled to begin operation in fall 2010. Planning us underway for other major operational components, including an online searchable database of services and a web portal for making referrals to the ADRC.

Visit the Delaware ADRC Planning and Implementation Information page of this site to learn more about ADRC project plans, ADRC partners, and progress that has been made in the development of the ADRC.
