New Leadership for the Div. of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities

The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) is pleased to introduce its new Director, Bill Love, and Deputy Director, Lisa Bond. Both began work in their positions in August 2010.

Photo of Bill Love, DSAAPD Director Bill Love worked in several different capacities in the Department of Health and Social Services earlier in his career, including Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (then Division of Mental Retardation) and Director of the Division of Management Services. For the past nine years, Bill held positions in the non-profit sector, including serving as Executive Director of the Arc of Delaware, which supports and advocates for progressive public policies and services for persons with disabilities, and most recently with the United Way of Delaware. At the United Way, Bill supported initiatives to build access to healthcare for Delawareans without health insurance and to bolster services for the aging population and Delawareans with disabilities.
Photo of Lisa Bond, DSAAPD Deputy Director Lisa Bond has worked for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services in various positions for over 16 years. She spent 10 years with the Division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance where she worked on many new initiatives to provide health care to low income, uninsured families and individuals. In May 2006, she accepted the position of Planning Supervisor for the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities. In this role Lisa oversaw a variety of functions including strategic planning, Medicaid Waiver oversight, grantwriting, quality assurance, public relations, staff training and development, and management of the agency's health and wellness programs.

Bill and Lisa look forward to working closely with the DSAAPD staff, members of the Department of Health and Social Services' leadership team, and DSAAPD's many community partners and stakeholders to find new ways to provide quality services for the people of Delaware.
