Controlled Substance

The Controlled Substance Unit analyzes substances collected by law enforcement agencies suspected of containing illegal or dangerous controlled substance.  To perform these qualitative analyses, the Controlled Substance Unit utilizes sensitive and selective instrumentation which identify a wide range if illegal substances seized throughout the state.  The most common drugs analyzed are marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, amphetamine, heroin, prescription drugs and designer drugs.
