Division of Social DIVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICES OPENS AT NEW WILMINGTON LOCATION
Wilmington, DE - Delaware Health and Social Services, Delaware Division of Social Services is pleased to announce the opening of its new Canby Park Social Services Office located at 1920 Maryland Avenue Wilmington, DE 19805. The Division of Social Services (DSS) is directly responsible for administering these programs: Delaware's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamps, Subsidized Child Care, General Assistance and Refugee Cash Assistance.
"This is a great move that will benefit Delawareans," said Vince Meconi, Secretary DHSS. "Canby's updated technology and improved facilities will allow DSS staff to assist clients more efficiently and effectively as well as being more accessible to visitors."
Clients who were previously served at our 4th Street Office will now be served at Canby. Canby is located along the Route 5 bus route and there is plenty of parking for clients. The phone number is 302-498-5500.
