Question: Can the vehicle design be referred to as a Cab and Chassis design? Answer: Yes. All references to the vehicle design will be changed to Cab and Chassis. Refer to amended Specification 1q and Specification 1w below. (Revisions) 2. Question: Can there be clarification regarding the interior dimensions of the rooms and the space available for the placement of the equipment? Answer: Yes. The dimensions of the three rooms can be determined by design for optimal dental care and the safety of the patients. Refer to the amended Specification 2b below for the minimum and maximum dimensions and design of the cabin. (Revisions) 3. Question: Can the refrigerator be specified as a refrigerator for clinical use? Answer: Yes. Refer to the amended Specification 2k below. (Revisions) 4. Question: Does the dry vacuum pump have to be installed under the sink cabinet in the front dental operatory? Answer: No. The dry vacuum pump can be installed by design. Refer to the amended Specification 2p below. (Revisions) 5. Question: Can the central/waiting room bench back be specified as 17”H from the seat? Answer: Yes, the central/waiting room bench back can be specified as 17”H from the seat Refer to the amended Specification 2z below: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). 6. Question: Can the rear operatory fluorescent overhead lights be installed by design? Answer: Yes. The rear operatory fluorescent overhead lights can be installed by design. Refer to the amended Specification 2ee below: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). 7. Question: Do the counter top dimensions include the sinks? Answer: Yes. The counter top dimensions as described under specifications 2hh and 2vv and 2s do include the sink. Refer to the amended Specification 2hh for the sink in the rear dental operatory, 2vv in the front dental operatory, and 2s for the sink in the Instrument Processing and Sterilization Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). 8. Question: Can the emergency door be deleted because of limited space? Answer: Yes. The requirement for the door is deleted. Refer to Item Deletions 1. It is replaced with a Rear Operatory Pop-Out Emergency Window Exit. Refer to amended Specification 2ii below: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). 9. Question: Do the dental chair and delivery system have to be an A-dec 500 chair system? Answer: No. The chair and delivery system can be another brand and system that is comparable in quality and operation to the A-dec 500 chair system. The choice of the delivery system shall be selected by design and may be chair-mounted, side-mounted, rear-mounted, or floor mounted. Refer to the amended Specification 2jj and Specification 2xx: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). 10. Question: Can the Panoramic X-ray unit be located in an area other that the rear dental operatory because of insufficient space. Answer: Yes. It can be located in another area of the Dental Cabin where protection of waiting clients and staff are provided. If the Panoramic X-ray unit is located in the Central Room, the interior walls must have radiation shielding that is equivalent to 0.2 mm lead or at least one (1) inch of drywall (gypsum) material. Refer to the amended Specification 2mm: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). 11. Question: Can the wheelchair lift be either under the floor or above the floor, and must it be located in the rear dental operatory? Answer: The wheelchair lift can be either above the floor or below the floor. It can be located in the Dental Clinic Cabin by design. The dimensions must meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Refer to the amended Specification 2oo: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). Specification pp is deleted. Refer to the Items Deletions 2. 12. Question: Can the front operatory fluorescent overhead lights be installed by design? Answer: Yes. The front operatory fluorescent overhead lights can be installed by design to provide sufficient lighting. Refer to the amended Specification 2ss: Dental Clinic Cabin (Revisions). Special Criteria Questions: 13. Question: Can overhead lights be installed as needed to meet emergency lighting criteria? Answer: Yes. The fluorescent overhead lights can be installed as needed to meet emergency lighting criteria. Refer to the amended specification section under Special Criteria a. below: (Revisions). 14. Question: Can the vehicle delivery timeframe be changed? Answer: Yes. Vehicle will be delivered within 6 months of the bid award date to the Division of Public Health at a location to be determined in the City of Dover, Delaware 19901. The award will be contingent upon the successful bidder confirming the delivery date of 6 months within 2 weeks after the award is made. Refer to the amended specifications section under Special Criteria g1 below: (Revisions). 15. The Specifications identified below are amended as indicated: Specification 1: Vehicle Cab and Chassis (revisions): q. Cab: Cab and Chassis w. Floor Covering: Standard for a Cab and Chassis Designed Vehicle Cab Specification 2: Dental Clinic Cabin (revisions): b. Cabin Dimensions: The cabin shall consist of three rooms: the front dental operatory, the rear dental operatory, and the central waiting/room. The overall interior dimension of the cabin shall be a minimum of 27.5 feet in length, 8 feet in width, and 6.5 feet in height. The maximum overall interior dimension (not including overhead storage area if included) shall be approximately 31 feet in length, 8 feet in width, and 8 feet in height. The exterior dimensions shall not exceed federal transportation requirements. The dimensions and layout of each of the three rooms shall be by design so as to accommodate all of the specified equipment, cabinetry, and furniture. The rooms shall be separated by an interior wall that provides radiation shielding that meets the equivalent of 0.2 mm lead or at least one (1) inch of drywall (gypsum) as specified in the Delaware Radiation Control Regulations. There shall be an entrance to at least one dental operatory of at least 30 inches to allow for wheelchair access. k. Dimensions of Refrigerator for Clinical Use above Vehicle Cab, if area available, otherwise by design: Approximately 20” Deep x 18” W x 21” High. p. One Tech West Dry Vacuum Pump (2 User Simultaneously) or Dry Vacuum Pump that is equivalent in quality and use, installed by design. s. The instrument processing and sterilization station will preferably be in the central room or by design to include a counter space totaling approximately 70 inches in length. The length requirement may be met either with continuous, straight space or an “L” shape. Items to be included in this area are: sink, ultrasonic cleaner, and sufficient adjacent counter space for instrument processing with autoclave sterilizer to be located in close proximity. Storage Cabinetry in conjunction with sterilization area: approximately 70” L x 28” D x 36” H under counter cabinets and overhead cabinets. z. Waiting Room Bench with back. The choice of the delivery system shall be by design, and may be chair- mounted, side- mounted to a wall or cabinet, rear- mounted to wall or cabinet, or floor- mounted. Doctor’s instrumentation unit should include high-speed and low-speed hand piece lines, air-water syringe, piezoelectric scaler, and curing light. Assistant’s instrumentation unit should include high-speed suction line, saliva ejector, and air-water syringe. System to be convertible for left and right-handed users. mm. Digital Panoramic System Wiring and Reserved Space for Separate Installation - Cat 6 wiring for panoramic system connectivity. Wiring must be compatible with most brands of portable digital panoramic systems that are or will be available on the market in the near future. The wiring must be compatible with the select model and make of the panoramic system and the vehicle space reserved for future installation of the panoramic system must be suitable for the system’s dimensions. Wiring must be installed in a manner that it will not interfere with the daily clinical activities that will take place within the vehicle before the digital panoramic system is installed. If Panoramic System is located in Central Room, the interior walls must have radiation shielding that is equivalent to 0.2 mm lead or at least one (1) inch of drywall (gypsum) material. oo.
