Governor's Award for Excellence in Food Safety
Sponsored by the Delaware Food Safety Council
The Governor’s Award for Excellence in Retail Food Safety recognizes excellence among Delaware’s
Retail Food Establishments. The goals of this program are to recognize food establishments for conscientious
and committed effort on an ongoing basis to reduce the risk factors that may cause foodborne illness and
provide a safe product to consumers.
With the award in its 10th year, we are looking forward to receiving more nominations than ever as
we also encourage the nomination of food establishments that offer and promote healthy menu options for
children and adults.
