Assessing the Site to be Sampled

  • 1a.  Enters with Sampling Kit in hand

  • 2a.  Enters with decon equipment in hand
  • 2b.  Identifies potential decon site and sets down equipment
  • 2c.  Proceeds to contamination area and locates specimen(s) to be sampled

  • 3a.  Prepares "Clean Work Area"
  • 3b.  Hands placard(s) to collector

  • 4a.  Places placard(s) at each specimen location

  • 5a.  Opens bag holding tank trap
Collector
  • 6a.  Removes tank tarp from bag, opens and sets tank trap in place
  • 6b.  Places bucket containing decon solutions and wipes into tank trap
  • 6c.  Moves disinfectant and rinse containers to outside of bucket

  • 7a.  Removes camera and hands camera to collector
  • 7b.  Removes clear zip bag
  • 7c.  Moves to decon area

  • 8a.  Photographs specimen sites
  • 8b.  Moves to decon area

  • 9a.  Sprays camera with disinfectant

  • 10a.  Checks to ensure camera is completely wetted
  • 10b.  Dries camera with clean paper towel

  • 11a.  Opens clear zip bag

  • 12a.  Places camera into clear zip bag

  • 13a.  Closes clear zip bag.
  • 13b.  Picks up Sampling Kit
  • 13c.  Transports camera and Sampling Kit through final decon
