Economic Stimulus Package to Provide One-Time Payment to Beneficiaries

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (also known as the Economic Stimulus package) will provide one-time payments of $250 to Social Security and Social Security Supplement (SSI) recipients. Persons receiving benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs or the Railroad Retirement Board are also eligible to receive these payments.

Payments are expected to be delivered in late May, 2009. No action is required on the part of beneficiaries.
