DPH’S MILFORD HEALTH UNIT MOVING TO RIVERFRONT SHOPPING MALL
After nearly three decades in its current location within the old Milford Firehouse, the Milford Health Unit (MHU) of Delaware’s Division of Public Health (DPH) will move on Friday, Jan. 14. to a more spacious location in the Riverfront Shopping Mall at 253 Northeast Front Street in Milford.
For the day of the move, Jan. 14, phone and computer access will be unavailable but resumes for the start of business Tuesday, Jan. 18. Monday, Jan. 17 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and the state is closed for business. The MHU telephone number remains the same: (302) 424-7130. The new fax number is (302) 424-7227.
MHU services include:
- WIC
- Sexual and reproductive health
- Smart Start and Kids Kare programs
- HIV case management
- Dental care
DPH’s children’s dental clinic will also relocate to the Riverfront Shopping Mall and will reopen Jan. 24. Parents who need emergency care for their children can call the following DPH dental clinics:

The Delmarva Rural Ministries van will continue to provide immunizations at the new location on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 1 – 7 p.m. Appointments for this service can be made by calling (302) 424-7150.
