Under the auspices of the Delaware Health Care Commission, DHIN adopted\n\n\n  regulations to govern its operations and established policies and procedures to support privacy and security of patient information. DHIN\n\n\n  went live in May 2007, becoming the first operational statewide health information exchange in the country. Since that time, DHIN\n\n\n  expanded the types and sources of clinical information available to meet the needs of Delaware\u2019s health care community. DHIN now delivers\n\n\n  more than 7 million clinical results and reports each year to nearly 400 practices and health care organizations around the state.
