Statewide Call Center to Be Launched

The State is pleased to announce the launch of Delaware’s Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) on October 1, 2010.

The ADRC will provide a one-stop access point for information and services to help older Delawareans, adults with physical disabilities, and caregivers find the resources that they need. It will help people explore long-term care options and link them to services such as home-delivered meals, personal care, respite services and more.

The Delaware ADRC is housed in the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities and is supported by partners throughout the aging and disability networks of Delaware. Lead Partners include the Delaware Aging Network, Delaware Division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance, ELDER Info, Freedom Center for Independent Living, Independent Resources Inc., Christiana Care Health Services, State Council for Persons with Disabilities and the Governor's Advisory Council on Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities.

The Delaware ADRC is funded by a grant from the federal Administration on Aging. It will continue to expand over the next few years. Future plans include a searchable online database of services and 24/7 telephone access. More information about these developments can be found on the ADRC planning page of this website.

The Guide to Services for Older Delawareans and Persons with Disabilities, a publication of the Delaware ADRC, is available now in print and electronic formats. Visit the Services Guide page to get a copy.
