A simple blood test can prevent a lifetime ruined by the irreversible cognitive damage caused\n\n\n  by lead poisoning. Delaware\u2019s prevalence rate for childhood lead poisoning in 2007 was 0.5% (compared to a national average of\n\n\n  2.2%).
