Japan, coupled with this organism\u2019s ability to mutate and become resistant, raises possibilities that treatment\n\n\n  failures are on the horizon in the United States.\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n  Health care providers need to be aware of the potential for future resistance and take these important steps to ensure successful\n\n\n  treatment outcomes for their patients:\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<ol>\n\n\n  <li>\n\n\n    <strong>Treat.<\/strong>\u00a0 Promptly, according to CDC recommendations.
