Smoking is <strong>not permitted<\/strong> in workplaces and most indoor public places, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Indoor workplaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Restaurants, bars, taverns and taprooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Grocery stores<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Public meeting areas and courtrooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Day care facilities, and private home areas used for day care<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Restrooms, lobbies, hallways, elevators and other common areas in motels, hotels and apartment buildings<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>At least 75% of the guest rooms in any hotel or motel<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Gaming facilities (casinos) open to the public<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Bowling alleys, billiard halls and pool halls<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Theaters, auditoriums and museums<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Libraries<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>All schools<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n <li>Indoor sports arenas<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the Clean Indoor Air Act is to protect the health and environment of the people of Delaware. Because three out of four people in Delaware don\u2019t smoke, we\u2019re asking smokers to protect the health of others by smoking outside or in areas where smoking is permitted. If you see someone smoking in an establishment where it is not permitted, please call the <a class=\"anchors_link\" href=\"\/dph\/contact.html#tobacco\">toll-free hotline<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>There are some exemptions from the law, listed below.
