or those\u00a0who have chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes,\n\n\n  cancer, emphysema or asthma.\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n  The Delaware Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) tracks two adult immunizations \u2013 flu and pneumonia. Respondents are\n\n\n  asked if they had a flu shot in the past year, and if they have ever had a pneumonia shot. The pneumonia shot is usually given only once\n\n\n  or twice in a lifetime, and is also called pneumococcal vaccine.\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n  <li>Among the target audience of persons 65 and older, 71.5% have had a flu shot in the last 12 months.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>34.4% of all Delaware adults age 18 and over have had a flu shot in the past year.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>White, non-Hispanic adults are more likely to get flu shots than African Americans.
