These guidelines recommend:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Image: Group Walk\" class=\"pull-right img-thumbnail img-responsive\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/dph\/img\/panowalk.jpg\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ol>\n\n\n\n <li><strong>Children and adolescents need 1 hour or more moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity\u00a0each day, for 5 or more days a week. As a part of the 1 hour, on at least 3 days per week, children and adolescents need vigorous activity, activity that strengthens muscles, and activity that strengthens bones.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><strong>Adults need at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity (e.g. brisk walking) every week, preferably in sessions of 20 minutes or more, scattered throughout the week.\u00a0 Adults also need\u00a0muscle strengthening activities on\u00a02 or more days a week.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><strong>Older adults ages 65 years or older needs at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate intensity activity (e.g. brisk walking) every week. Older adults also need muscle strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week.
