These programs include various types of public education initiatives aimed at educating\n\n\n  residents about the need for organ and tissue donation and encouraging them to become designated organ donors through the state\n\n\n  driver&#8217;s license or identification card program. <strong><em>More than 600 Delawareans are currently waiting for life-saving organ\n\n\n  transplants.<\/em><\/strong>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n  In 2013, 114 Delaware residents received 121 lifesaving organ transplants. As of June 30, 2014 50% of Delawareans with a driver license\n\n\n  or Division of Motor Vehicles identification card have designated themselves as organ donors.
