There are now permanent medicine collection sites located in Delaware.<\/strong> Permanent medication\n\n\n\n\n          collection boxes are available at the locations <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/dph\/pdf\/hhdrugtbloc.pdf\">listed here<\/a>. Please contact each site\n\n\n\n\n          directly for collections hours, rules &#038; regulations.\n\n\n\n\n        <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n        <p>\n\n\n\n\n          Did you know that:\n\n\n\n\n        <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n        <ul>\n\n\n\n\n          <li>70% of people who abuse prescription pain relievers get them from friends or relatives\n\n\n\n\n          <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n          <li>1 in 5 high school students have abused prescription drugs\n\n\n\n\n          <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n          <li>EPA studies have detected pharmaceutical drugs in our water supply\n\n\n\n\n          <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n        <\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n        <p>\n\n\n\n\n          Medicines play an important role in treating certain health conditions and diseases, but they must be disposed of with care to\n\n\n\n\n          avoid harming the environment. Medicine Collection Sites:\n\n\n\n\n        <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n        <ul>\n\n\n\n\n          <li>Protect the environment\n\n\n\n\n          <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n          <li>Prevent overdoses and errors\n\n\n\n\n          <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n          <li>Keep drugs away from children\n\n\n\n\n          <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n        <\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n        <p>\n\n\n\n\n          This program is anonymous; no questions or requests for identification will be made by law enforcement personnel present. Bring\n\n\n\n\n          your expired, unused, or unwanted medication to one of these locations to ensure proper disposal. Drugs must be in a container\n\n\n\n\n          such as a pill bottle, box, blister pack, or zip lock bag. Leave liquid medications in their original containers. No needles,\n\n\n\n\n          aerosols, or biohazard materials may be deposited. Do not put medical equipment, batteries, syringes, or other biohazard waste\n\n\n\n\n          into the drop-off boxes.\n\n\n\n\n        <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n        <p>\n\n\n\n\n          Businesses, such as medical clinics or pharmacies, wishing to dispose of unwanted stock are not permitted to use these drop\n\n\n\n\n          boxes.
