State Plan on Aging Draft Available for Public Review and Comment

Delaware Health and Social Services, Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD), has drafted a State Plan on Aging to cover the period from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2024.

The State Plan on Aging has been developed to meet requirements under Title III and Title VII of the Older Americans Act. These titles provide funding for a variety of programs and services in Delaware including supportive services; nutrition programs; disease prevention and health promotion initiatives; elder rights protection activities; and caregiver support programs.

DSAAPD held virtual public hearings on April 20 and April 22, 2020 to provide the public with the opportunity to offer comments and suggestions on the draft plan.  DSAAPD will continue to accept public comment through June 5, 2020.

A copy of the Draft State Plan on Aging can be downloaded here.  The presentation shown at the Virtual Meetings can also be downloaded here.  If you need assistance with downloading the documents, please see the Help with Downloading DSAAPD Publications page of this web site.
