<!--[type=HTMLEDIT name=\"Content\"]-->\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n  The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) carries out a broad range of activities on behalf of\n\n\n  older persons, adults with physical disabilities, and caregivers (including grandparents and relatives raising others\u2019\n\n\n  children).\u00a0Following is a summary of these activities.\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n  DSAAPD:\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n  <li>Operates and contracts for\u00a0numerous <a href=\"services.html\">programs and services<\/a> for older persons, adults with physical\n\n\n  disabilities, and\u00a0caregivers.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>Advocates on behalf of older persons, adults with physical disabilities, and <a href=\"caregive.html\">caregivers<\/a>\u00a0to create a\n\n\n  broader awareness of the needs of these populations and to generate additional resources to meet these needs.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>Develops and implements a variety of <a href=\"health.html\">wellness and health promotion<\/a> programs.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>Analyzes data, performs needs assessments, and develops new services for older persons, adults with physical disabilities, and their\n\n\n  caregivers.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>Develops special programs to address a variety of concerns.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>Develops public-private and public-public partnerships to increase the availability of services.\n\n\n  <\/li>\n\n\n  <li>Plans and conducts special events focusing on older\u00a0persons, adults
