with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) offers a number of supports and services for caregivers. Follow the links below to learn more about these caregiver support options. Also, be sure to visit the <a href=\"caregive.html\">Caregiver Information\u00a0and Support<\/a> section of this website for support groups, internet links, and many other helpful caregiver resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"resource.html\">Caregiver Resource Centers<\/a> &#8211; serve as access points located throughout Delaware that provide information, assistance and support related to a caregiver&#8217;s individual situation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"adrc.html\">Delaware Aging and Disabilities Resource Center<\/a> (ADRC) &#8211; DSAAPD&#8217;s one-stoss point that provides the following:\n\n\n\n <ul>\n\n\n\n  <li><a href=\"ianda.html\">Information and Assistance<\/a> &#8211; provides information about and help in finding appropriate programs, supports, services, activities, events, and other community resources for caregivers, older persons, and persons with disabilities throughout Delaware.<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li><a href=\"options_counseling.html\">Options Counseling<\/a> &#8211; helps individuals identify long-term care needs and preferences, understand the service options available to them, and make decisions about care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <\/ul>\n\n\n\n <\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"lifespan_respite.html\">Lifespan Respite<\/a> &#8211; provides respite vouchers to eligible caregivers which allow them to pay for care for their loved ones while they take a break from their own caregiving responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"respite.html\">Respite Care<\/a> &#8211; provides a break for caregivers, such as family members, who take care of an older person, an adult with a physical disability, or a person with dementia.\u00a0 Respite is provided in the home of the care recipient or caregiver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"caregivesg.html\">Support Groups<\/a> &#8211; provide opportunities for caregivers to connect and share information, insight, advice, and encouragement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The following are some of the services provided by DSAAPD that may be utilized by an older adult or an adult who has a physical disability to supplement the care provided by a caregiver. Select a service option from the list below for more detailed information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>DSAAPD provides a full range of services to support older persons, persons with disabilities, and caregivers. To access the complete list of services and learn more, please\u00a0<a href=\"\/dsaapd\/services.html\">visit the main Services page of this website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"\/dsaapd\/adc.html\"><strong>Adult Day Services<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; provides activities and assistance at multiple sites throughout the state for people with physical and\/or cognitive impairments. This service is for people who cannot be left alone for long periods of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"\/dsaapd\/attendant.html\"><strong>Attendant Services<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; a self-directed program in which participants serve as employers of their own attendants who provide assistance with the functions of daily living, self-care, or mobility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"\/dsaapd\/casman.html\"><strong>Case Management<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; helps older persons, persons with disabilities, and caregivers get connected with the supports and services that they need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"\/dsaapd\/hdm.html\"><strong>Home-Delivered Meals<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; provides nutritionally balanced, hot meals during the day to homebound persons.
