Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) receives funding from a number of sources.\u00a0 Below is a list of the agency&#8217;s current grants and funding sources\u00a0along with a brief description of how the funds from each grant are used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acl.gov\/about-acl\/authorizing-statutes\/older-americans-act\"><strong>Older Americans Act, Title III, Title IV, Title V, and Title VII Grants<\/strong><\/a><br>\n\n\n\n Source:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acl.gov\/about-acl\/administration-aging\">Administration on Aging<\/a><br>\n\n\n\n The Older Americans Act provides funding for home and community-based services; the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC); the Long-Term Care Ombudsman program; the Senior Community Service Employment Program; elder rights protection activities; the Delaware Senior Medicare Patrol Program; health promotion activities; caregiver support programs; training and development; advocacy; and agency administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acf.hhs.gov\/programs\/ocs\/programs\/ssbg\"><strong>Social Services Block Grant<\/strong><\/a><br>\n\n\n\n Source:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acf.hhs.gov\/programs\/ocs\">US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Community Services<\/a><br>\n\n\n\n The Social Services Block Grant funds administered by DSAAPD provide for home and community based services for older persons and adults with physical disabilities who meet specified income guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"https:\/\/omb.delaware.gov\/\"><strong>General Funds<\/strong><\/a><br>\n\n\n\n Source:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/legis.delaware.gov\/\">Delaware General Assembly<\/a><br>\n\n\n\n DSAAPD receives funds from the Delaware General Assembly on an annual basis to support needed home and community-based services and agency administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicaid.gov\/\"><strong>Medicaid Funds<\/strong><\/a><br>\n\n\n\n Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cms.gov\/\">Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services<\/a><br>\n\n\n\n DSAAPD receives Medicaid funds to provide services under the <a href=\"pathways.html\">Pathways to Employment<\/a> program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fns.usda.gov\/fdd\/programs\/nsip\/\"><strong>Nutrition Services Incentive Program<\/strong><\/a><br>\n\n\n\n Source:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acl.gov\/about-acl\/administration-aging\">Administration on Aging<\/a>\u00a0via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fns.usda.gov\/\">US Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service<\/a><br>\n\n\n\n The Nutrition Services Incentive Program provides cash support for the meals program funded under Title III of the Older Americans Act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><a href=\"\/healthfund\/index.html\"><strong>Tobacco Settlement Funds<\/strong><\/a><br>\n\n\n\n Source: <a href=\"\/healthfund\/about.html\">Delaware Health Fund Advisory Committee<\/a><br>\n\n\n\n
