Briefly, persons interested in volunteering should review the packet, complete an application, and schedule an interview with the volunteer coordinator. Individuals who are considered a good fit and offered a volunteer position will be scheduled to attend a two-hour training session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>How do I set up an interview to become a volunteer?<\/em><\/strong><br>\n\n\n\nContact the Volunteer Services Coordinator to schedule an appointment for an interview. Contact information is included in the\u00a0<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/dsaapd\/pdf\/GBHC_volunteer_application_packet.pdf\">GBHC Volunteer Application Packet<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Is there a minimum time commitment required to volunteer?<\/em><\/strong><br>\n\n\n\nVolunteers are asked to commit to at least one 3 to 4 hour shift per week for at least 3 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>When is the best time to apply to volunteer?<\/em><\/strong><br>\n\n\n\nDue to holiday preparations and programs, it is highly recommended that interested volunteers consider applying prior to October 1st or after February 1st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Do you have a program for high school students in the summer time?<\/em><\/strong><br>\n\n\n\nYes. Student Summer Volunteer -Teen program applications are due by May 1st. Student summer orientation is held in June. The minimum age for volunteering without a parent is 14 years old.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Is a flu vaccination required to volunteer?<\/em><\/strong><br>\n\n\n\nFlu vaccinations are required from the end of September through May 1st.
