\n\n\n  <!--[type=HTMLEDIT name=\"Content\"]-->\n\n\n<p>The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) is divided into\u00a0several units including the Office of the Director; Service Delivery and Program Unit; Administrative Services Unit; Adult Day Services Unit; Planning Unit; and Long Term Care Unit. Below is a brief summary of the functions of each unit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li><strong>Office of the Director:<\/strong> The DSAAPD Director provides oversight for all agency services and operations. The Director is responsible for signing contracts and is closely involved in strategic planning, program development, and quality assurance initiatives. In addition, the Director\u00a0provides leadership for\u00a0advocacy and coordination efforts and is responsible for overseeing emergency planning activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><strong>Service Delivery and Program Unit:<\/strong> Staff in the Service Delivery and Program Unit provide <a href=\"ianda.html\">information\u00a0and assistance<\/a>, <a href=\"options_counseling.html\">options counseling<\/a>, <a href=\"casman.html\">case management<\/a>, nursing support, and caregiver support. They operate the <a href=\"adrc.html\">Delaware Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"aps.html\">Adult Protective Services (APS)<\/a>\u00a0Program, and\u00a0the <a href=\"passport.html\">Nursing Home Transition Program<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li><strong>Adult Day Services Unit:<\/strong> The Adult Day Services Unit provides activities and assistance for people with physical and\/or mental impairments who cannot be left alone for long periods.
