DSAMH offers new and innovative trainings, ensuring that behavioral health practitioners have access to the latest evidence-based treatment modalities and best practices material. \u00a0In compliance with certification requirement, certificate of training will only be issued to those who register for and complete an active workshop. \u00a0For additional training office policy and procedures please see link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/dsamh\/policiesprocedures.html\">Policies and Procedures<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Training Office policies and procedures governing the administration of workforce development activities are included in this document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/dsamh\/trainingcert.html\">Continuing Education Hours\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Training Office applies to numerous certification and professional licensing boards to request those entities\u2019 approval for many of the Training Office\u2019s educational offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contact us<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:dsamh.training@delaware.gov\">dsamh.training@delaware.gov<\/a>\u00a0or 302-255-9480<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hours of operation:<\/strong>\u00a08 a.m. &#8211; 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Registration:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><u>Effective June 14, 2023, DSAMH&#8217;s Workforce Development and Education Unit will be using the Delaware Learning Center (DLC) exclusively as our learning management system. Workshops are \u201cstand alone\u201d in terms of content and can be taken individually. Please register for <u>each<\/u> individual workshop you wish to attend, including all 16 if you wish to attend the entire series. CE-eligible. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><em>DLC Learning Search:<\/em>\u00a0 <strong>DSAMH &#8211; CADC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/dsamh\/pdf\/2023%20360%20Safety%20Keeping%20Staff%20Safe%20by%20Helping%20Clients%20Feel%20Secure.pdf\">360 Safety Training Series<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family:georgia,serif;\">This series aims to empower organizations to create synergy with clients while ensuring physical and environmental safety for staff. Topics include field safety, office safety, and de-escalation. The workshops can be taken individually or as a series (must register individually for each session).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><em>DLC Learning Search:<\/em>\u00a0 <strong>DSAMH &#8211; 360 Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/dsamh\/pdf\/MHFA_Kent_Sussex_Summer_2023_2Links.pdf\">Mental Health First Aid Training Series<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:7.5pt;margin-left:0in;     background:white\"><span style=\"font-size:15px;\"><span style=\"font-family:georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Mental Health First Aid introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health concerns, builds understanding of their impact, overviews common treatments, and provides practical skills for applying \u201cMental Health First Aid\u201d thru a 5-step Action Plan. This training is not eligible for CE\u00a0credits.\u00a0 However, registrants who successfully complete the pre-work (NOTE: pre-work is only required for virtual trainings), fully attend the training session, and complete post-work requirements can receive a 3-year certification in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council on Mental Wellbeing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family:\"Open Sans\",sans-serif;color:#333333\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/dsamh\/pdf\/2023_Trauma_Informed_Series_Updated_2Links.pdf\">Trauma Training Series <\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family:georgia,serif;\">These trainings support all levels of the organization in ensuring that Delaware is a trauma-informed state in accordance with Governor Carney\u2019s Executive Order 24.\u00a0 Workforce core competencies are addressed across four levels of trauma-informed care, as outlined in the DHSS Developmental Framework for Trauma-Informed Individuals:\u00a0 trauma-aware, trauma-sensitive, trauma-responsive and trauma-informed.\u00a0\u00a0 Trainings focus on direct care staff-client, coworker-coworker, management-employee, and executive management-organizational focus. Please check individual sessions for CE-eligibility.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family:georgia,serif;\">Certified Addiction Registered Nurse (CARN)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">This 3-part course is for both APRNs and RNs, covering addictions nursing competencies that include foundations, assessment, and skills checklist.\u00a0 This course aims to prepare the participant for the Certified Addictions Registered Nurse certification exam.
