\n\n\n  <!--[type=HTMLEDIT name=\"Content\"]-->\n\n\n<p>DSAMH has formed the Opioid Response Team to provide strategic leadership and oversite to all opioid-related programs and activities throughout the Division, with a focus on the planning for and implementation of the State Opioid Response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The team is comprised of subject matter experts from each bureau who will also serve as the main point of contact for all SOR associated contractors, awardees and collaborators as noted below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li>Decrease opioid overdoses statewide through development and expansion of programs and resources focused on low threshold access to treatment and targeted referral systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li>Improve understanding of and engagement and retention in OUD\/STUD treatment for those currently accessing the system by enhancing and expanding current prevention, treatment, and recovery services for patients, families, and communities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n <li>Identify and engage high risk populations in treatment through universal screening and direct, efficient referral of OUD\/STUD patients and others affected by the illness to existing treatment and recovery services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tiers &#8211;\u00a0SOR TAP APPLICATIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n\n <li>Tier 1: up to $49,000 and an application process required (estimated release late March 2021)\n\n\n\n <ul>\n\n\n\n  <li>\u00a0Universal client screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li>Required reporting of screening efforts and results<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li>Required participation in quality improvement Learning Collaborative and customized technical assistance plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li>Participation in compliance monitoring as required by ORT<\/li>\n\n\n\n <\/ul>\n\n\n\n <\/li>\n\n\n\n <li>Tier 2: up to $100,000 (estimated Summer 2021)\n\n\n\n <ul>\n\n\n\n  <li>Active engagement and re-engagement of clients into treatment and recovery services to promote treatment retention, overdose prevention, and long-term recovery<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li>Required participation in quality improvement Learning Collaborative and customized technical assistance plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li>Engagement with naloxone education, prescribing, and distribution<\/li>\n\n\n\n  <li>Referral of uninsured or underinsured clients to Medicaid3<\/li>\n\n\n\n <\/ul>\n\n\n\n <\/li>\n\n\n\n <li>Tier 3: up to $500,000 (estimated Fall 2021)\n\n\n\n
