color: #fff; font-size: 18px; margin-top: 40px;\">A federal law was passed that stopped Emergency Food Benefits (also known as SNAP Emergency Allotments). Households got their final Emergency Food Benefits on their EBT cards on February 28, 2023.  Extra Emergency Food Benefits ended and monthly Food Benefit amounts returned to normal starting in March 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 45px;\">WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Delaware&#8217;s Division of Social Services issued monthly Emergency Food Benefits to eligible households from March 2020 through February 2023 as part of the extra assistance provided during the COVID-19 public health emergency.  Emergency Food Benefits allowed all SNAP households to receive at least $95 in extra benefits at the end of each month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>A federal law was passed that stopped Emergency Food Benefits.<strong> SNAP households received their final issuance of Emergency Food Benefits on February 28, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Starting on March 1, 2023, SNAP households will only receive their regular monthly benefit on the normal issuance date.  Households will no longer get extra Emergency Food Benefits on their EBT cards at the end of each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 45px;\">Resources for Households<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Below, you can find information and resources that will help you adjust to these changes.
