What do I do if I can't afford my prescriptions?

The Delaware Prescription Assistance Program provides assistance in paying for prescription drugs to persons aged 65 or over who meet financial eligiblity requirements and for adults aged 18 or over who are receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).  For more information, please see the Division of Social Services'  Delaware Prescription Assistance Program page .

Many pharmaceutical companies provide prescription drugs at reduced fees.  If you are unable to afford your medications, you may want to talk with your doctor about helping you secure assistance from pharmaceutical companies.  Most companies require that the request for reduced-priced medications come directly from your physician.  For more information and a list of medications available at reduced prices, visit NeedyMeds at http://www.needymeds.com .
