Anna C. Shipley State Service Center

Purpose: The Anna C. Shipley State Service Center currently offers client services administered by Delaware Health and Social Services (DHSS) divisions: Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF) division:

Delaware Department of Correction (DOC) division:
and other services:

From the North:
(Including: Bridgeville, Northern Sussex County and Kent and New Castle Counties)
  1. Route 13 South
    (Proceed South on Route 13 for approximately 80 miles from New Castle County)
  2. Bear Right onto Alternate Route 13/Bridgeville Highway - Seaford Business District
  3. Proceed on Alternate Route 13 for approximately 3 miles
  4. Turn Right onto Virginia Avenue
  5. The Shipley State Service Center is approximately 1/4 mile on the right

From the South:
(Including: Delmar, Laurel and Lower Sussex County)
  1. Route 13 North
    (Proceed North on Route 13 for approximately 10 miles from Delmar)
  2. Turn Left onto Stein Highway
  3. Proceed on Stein Highway for approximately 1.5 miles
  4. Yield Right onto Bridgeville Highway/Alternate Route 13
  5. Turn Left onto Virginia Avenue (approximately 1/2 mile after merging onto Bridgeville Highway)
  6. The Shipley State Service Center is on the right

From the East:
(Including: Georgetown and Route 113)
  1. Route 113 toward Route 18
  2. Route 18 West (proceed for approximately 16 miles)
  3. Turn Left onto Route 13 South (in Bridgeville at Route 404 and Route 13 intersection)
  4. Yield Right onto Bridgeville Highway/Alternate Route 13
  5. Turn Left onto Virginia Avenue (approximately 3 miles after merging onto Bridgeville Highway)
  6. The Shipley State Service Center is on the right

From the West:
(Including: Cambridge and Hurlock, MD and Reliance, DE)
  1. Route 50 toward Route 16
  2. Route 16 East
    (Route 16 East will become Route 392 East)
  3. Proceed on Route 392 East through Hurlock, MD
    (Route 392 East will become Route 20 East in Reliance)
  4. Proceed on Route 20 East through Seaford, DE
    (Route 20 East will become Stein Highway)
  5. Proceed on Stein Highway for approximately 8 miles (after passing Seaford)
  6. Turn Left onto Bridgeville Road/Alternate Route 13 (at light) and proceed for approximately 1/2 mile
  7. Turn Left onto Virginia Avenue
  8. The Shipley State Service Center is on the right
