Attention Medicaid Participants: Eligibility Renewals Restarted April 1, 2023
A Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) is a Medicare beneficiary who, because of low income and limited financial resources, qualifies to have certain medical expenses covered at no additional cost.
If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you should know about programs that may help you pay part of your medical expenses. If you qualify, you may not have to pay Medicare premiums or certain out-of-pocket costs. In addition to the QMB program, there are other similar programs, including Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) and Qualifying Individual (QI-1).
Information about eligibility is available from the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Programs page on the Delaware Division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance (DMMA) website.
Contact the DMMA office in your local area or apply online using ASSIST .
For more information on how to receive help through these programs, contact the Delaware Medicare Assistance Bureau (formerly ElderInfo), Delaware's State Health Insurance Assistance Program.
