Case Counts: For the period of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6, no cases of H1N1 virus were confirmed by Delaware's Division of Public Health (DPH) lab, similar to the previous week. There were no hospitalizations from H1N1 during the week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6. Due to the weather emergency, reports of influenza-like illness from DPH's network of sentinel providers are incomplete. Delaware's influenza activity status remains sporadic, with 12 reports of influenza-like illness the previous week from sentinel providers. The total number of confirmed H1N1 cases since Oct. 4 remains 1,972.
Pharmacies Providing Free H1N1 Vaccine: DPH continues to subsidize the cost of H1N1 vaccine so that participating Delaware pharmacies can offer the shot free of charge to anyone age 18 or older. DPH officials urge all Delawareans to get vaccinated. Pharmacies currently offering free H1N1 shots are:

By law, pharmacists in Delaware cannot vaccinate persons younger than 18 years. A list of free H1N1 vaccine locations is kept current on the DPH website, www.flu.delaware.gov
School Vaccinations: School clinics scheduled to provide second vaccinations during the week of Feb. 8 were cancelled due to weather. Rescheduled dates for these clinics will be announced next week.
