These prestigious awards recognize the efforts of Delawareans who best exemplify the spirit of volunteerism throughout the state. Any Delaware individual, group, organization, or business engaged in volunteer activity from January-December, 2010 in the State of Delaware is eligible to be nominated.
"We want to provide the opportunity for individuals and groups who are making a difference to be recognized," said Carrie Hart, Volunteer Services Administrator. "These awards highlight the accomplishments of Delawareans who are improving lives in our state every day."

The Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Awards are sponsored by the Office of the Governor and coordinated by the State Office of Volunteerism and the Governor's Commission on Community and Volunteer Service.
