RSVP will host a mentoring/tutoring information meeting on Oct. 28 with representatives and volunteers from Big Brothers Big Sisters, Connecting Generations, Delaware Mentoring Council, Read Aloud Delaware and Reading Assist. Lt. Gov. Matt Denn will be the keynote speaker.
The meeting will be at 10 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1502 W. 13th Street, Wilmington. Attendees will listen to volunteers as they share their personal experiences, what motivated them to get involved, the satisfaction and personal rewards as they help children realize their potential. Representatives and volunteers from the organizations will be available to answer questions about their volunteer opportunities.
