MEDIA ADVISORY: DELAWARE LEGISLATORS TO RECEIVE LIFESAVING TRAINING TUESDAY, MAY 14, IN SUPPORT OF NATIONAL STOP THE BLEED DAY

WHAT:

Stop the Bleed bleeding control training sessions in the Legislative Hall Senate Hearing Room in Dover. State Trauma System Committee members will instruct legislators on multiple lifesaving techniques, including how to apply a tourniquet correctly to stop major bleeding, how to pack bleeding wounds, and how to use other bleeding control methods, with and without medical materials. The 15-minute instruction sessions will be taught by trauma and emergency physicians and nurses from every hospital in Delaware; all are members of the Statewide Trauma System.
