Registered volunteers will simulate medication dispensing to a large segment of Delaware's population. Volunteers will complete forms and process through a line at least five times.

WHY: In the event of a natural or man-made emergency, DPH might need to dispense medicine and/or vaccinations to protect Delawareans from disease or toxins. This exercise is an opportunity for DPH staff and partners to test response capability and the ability to distribute medication to the general population within a certain timeframe.
VISUALS: Members of the media are invited to cover the exercise at either location. Visuals will include registered volunteers circulating through the lines, DPH staff simulating the dispensing of medication, and other partners supporting the efforts in their areas of expertise.
QUESTIONS: Call 302-744-4704.

DPH, a division of DHSS, urges Delawareans to make healthier choices with the 5-2-1 Almost None campaign: eat 5 or more fruits and vegetables each day, have no more than 2 hours of recreational screen time each day (includes TV, computer, gaming), get 1 or more hours of physical activity each day, and drink almost no sugary beverages.

Delaware Health and Social Services is committed to improving the quality of the lives of Delaware's citizens by promoting health and well-being, fostering self-sufficiency, and protecting vulnerable populations.
