The purpose of the RFP is to replace the Delaware immunization registry also known as VACAttack with a modern fully functional immunization registry. VACAttack was developed in 1995 and is now aging and fails to meet the demands of a fully functional immunization registry. The system is supposed to serve as the data backbone of the Immunization Program and a resource used by DPH and medical providers to store and recall individual immunization information. The registry also supports Public Health Preparedness activities such as the ongoing 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic.
