Additional Food Resources

DHSS understands the impact these changes may have on households and wants to make sure families that need food assistance know where to go for help:

  • Delaware 211: You can call 211, text your zip code to 898-211 or visit delaware211.org to find the nearest food pantry or distribution site.
  • Food Bank of Delaware: Visit www.fbd.org/get-help/ or call 302-292-1305 in New Castle County, or 302-424-3301 in Kent and Sussex counties.
  • Delaware Woman, Infant and Children (WIC) Program: If you receive SNAP Food Benefits and are pregnant or have children under 5, you may be able to get help buying food from the Delaware WIC program. For more information call:
  • USDA National Hunger Hotline: Call 1-866-3-HUNGRY (1-866-348-6479) or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (1-877-842- 6273 for Spanish) for information on local emergency food providers, government assistance programs, and social services.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (833) 620-1071, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant's name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to:
