The Office of Animal Welfare oversees enforcement of the Delaware Shelter Standards Law (Delaware Code, Title 16, Chapter 30F) and conducts routine and complaint-initiated inspections of animal shelters in Delaware. The Office issues an inspection report after each inspection, and each complaint investigation in which violations were found.
To view inspection reports or violations for an animal shelter, choose the corresponding link from the facility list below. Per Delaware Code, Title 16 §3008F(h)(1), only complaint investigation reports in which violations are substantiated will be posted to this website. Complaints investigations that do not result in violations, or that are determined to be unfounded will not be posted.
Please note: Routine inspections of animal shelters will not begin until spring 2015. If no information appears under a shelter’s name, no inspections have yet occurred.
