Emergency Preparedness

The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) is in the process of developing strategies to help older persons, adults with physical disabilities, caregivers, service providers, and others prepare for emergency situations. Emergency situations include natural disasters, such as hurricanes and floods; widespread disease outbreaks, such as flu epidemics; and other events, such as terrorist attacks and power failures.

Be sure to visit the links to emergency preparedness information  section for a wealth of resources related to emergency preparedness. Topics in that section include general information; Delaware information; information for older people; information for people with disabilities; information for people with specific diseases and conditions; and information in Spanish.

Please check back again in the future for additional emergency preparedness resources.
