The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) is charged with administering and overseeing DUI Education and Treatment Programming for individuals who are required to complete such a program as a result of a violation of Delaware’s Driving While Intoxicated law.
DSAMH created regulations for how these programs must be run and provided step-by-step instructions for both the participants and the contracted providers who operate them.
The first step in fulfilling the requirements of Delaware’s DUI Education and Treatment Programs is to complete a DUI screening and referral, which is operated by DSAMH’s Treatment Access Center (TASC) under its DUI Referral Services (DRS) program.
