    Family Caregiver Resources

    The Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS) provides community resources and services to support individuals and their families as they navigate services. Our goal is to promote independence, and connect individuals and their families with available resources to enhance quality of life and allow all to thrive in their community.

    Advocacy and Support

    DDDS clients will find trusted advocacy, resources and support from these Delaware-based agencies.

    Family and Caregiver Networks

    Networking connects families with others who understand the unique challenges and experiences of being a caregiver for someone with disabilities. It allows families to share information and insight about resource and services in the community. Most importantly, networking builds a community where families can share strategies, receive emotional support, and advocate together for services and policies.

    Respite

    Respite gives primary caregivers a break from the stress of taking care of a family member with disabilities.

    The Division of Developmental Disabilities Services offers both State-funded (non-waiver) and Medicaid Lifespan Waiver respite options. For more information, visit the Respite page. To request respite services, contact:
