This free program teaches Delaware restaurant staff how to respond to an opioid overdose and helps restaurants create policies to better support employees and patrons with substance use disorder. This initiative equips restaurant employees with knowledge, skills, and resources — such as Naloxone (Narcan) kits — to reduce deaths.
We’ll train restaurant staff on the use of Naloxone (Narcan), how to respond to an opioid overdose, and how to provide support to help workers suffering from substance use disorder.
The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) is partnering with the Delaware Restaurant Association to recognize restaurants that give back to their communities and act as agents of change to prevent overdose deaths in Delaware.
Schedule a quick training today by emailing DSAMH@delaware.gov or visit Help is Here and add your restaurant to the list of employers making a difference in Delaware.
