    Delaware’s Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) works with community partners and private contracted agencies to make sure every Delawarean has easy access to the prevention and treatment and referral services they need for mental health, substance abuse disorder, and gambling conditions. Programs and services include: community mental health treatment, counseling and support services; supported housing services that promote independent living and community integration; mobile crisis intervention services; inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment; substance abuse treatment and prevention services; assessment and case management services for clients sentenced by the Drug Court; and problem gambling services. DSAMH also operates the Delaware Psychiatric Center, the state’s only inpatient psychiatric hospital for adults.
