If you lost food purchased with SNAP benefits because of the storm on 8/20/26 you may be eligible for replacement SNAP benefits. Eligible households may receive replacement benefits for the value of the food that was lost, up to the amount of their monthly SNAP benefit.
To request replacement SNAP benefits, you must report the food loss to the Delaware Division of Social Services (DSS) and complete Form 324 – Affidavit for Replacement of EBT Food Benefits.
How to request replacement SNAP benefits
- Report your food loss to DSS. Contact your local State Service Center or call 1-866-843-7212.
- Complete and submit Form 324. The form must be submitted by August 31, 2026.
- Sign the form. Form 324 is fillable, but it must be signed as required before it is submitted.
- Provide information about the loss. DSS may verify the power outage, disaster, household emergency, or other event that caused the food loss.
DSS will review your request and determine whether you are eligible for replacement benefits.
