Payment methods include:
- Check
- Money order
- Income Withholding Order (IWO) – A wage withholding order sent to a parent’s employer to deduct court ordered child support obligations from employment wages.
- iPayOnline – Eliminates check writing. iPayOnline accepts credit and debit payments. Under normal circumstances, payments made electronically using DCSS’s iPayOnline application will be credited to a child support account within four (4) business days, and applicable amounts will be disbursed by DCSS within an additional two (2) business days (for a fee). iPayOnline enables obligors and employers to categorize employee cases/payments into organizational units/divisions. Enables tracking of pending payments and viewing of the payment history. To get started, users need to register online.
Note: Employers must have a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN). Upon successful registration, users will be able to submit a one time, or recurring, electronic child support payment (at no charge if using a bank account).
- TouchPay Kiosks – Statewide Kiosks accept regular Child Support and Purge Payments via Cash, Credit or Debit Card. No transaction fees are applied. Kiosks are located at the following locations:
- Delaware Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) locations: Delaware City, Greater Wilmington, Dover, and Georgetown.
- Delaware Probation Offices: New Castle and Seaford.
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) payment processing – Payments can be made by phone, by calling the Customer Service Unit at (302) 577-7171, using keypad or voice response. Payments made via IVR will be charged a flat fee of $3.00, plus a 3% service fee.
- Drop Box – Payments can be left in the drop box located at the New Castle County DCSS office (84A Christiana Rd. New Castle, DE 19720) and will be processed the next business day.
